The Nyko Charge Base IC holds your two remotes and uses the stands magnets and battery packs to not only hold the remotes on the stand but charge the batteries in the remote. The Charge Base IC uses induction to charge the batteries while in your remote so you don't have to plug your remotes in and only have to set them on the base and allow the magnetism to grab the remote.
You don't have to be as nearly precise as getting contacts to connect in slots like previous chargers for your Wii remotes when using the Charge Base IC. The battery packs of the Charge Base are pretty hefty and the base and stand has some pretty good pull on your remote, you can hold the stand upside down and the remotes will not fall off.
Once you have your remote placed on the stand and powered on the batteries will charge through induction or a magnetic field from the base to the remotes battery. This means no electrical connection at all to charge your remotes which gives you a better charge without having to make sure they are correctly positioned on the stand.

The Nyko Charge Base IC comes with the stand itself, power adapter, two battery packs, instructions and a key for syncing the remotes which is required for this battery system due to the cover being part of the battery. The battery and battery compartment cover are connected so when you install the battery and want to sync the remote with your console you simply use the key that is just a plastic pin to push the sync button through the hole.
The battery pack installs instead of the batteries and cover to create an integral part of the charger with the battery pack itself charging simply by setting it on the base. The clear plastic around the area where the remotes rest will glow according to the charge state with a blue light meaning the battery is charging and a green light meaning a full charge.
The Charge Base IC also includes a USB connection for any USB devices you may want to charge for a convenient and versatile console gaming charger. The Charge Base IC also has an on off button prominently on the front for convenient power down when not needed.
The Nyko Charge Base IC works just great and I had no problems using it on both the remote that comes with the Wii as well as the Nyko WAND. The Charge Base IC works great as a charger and is simple to use as well as really cool with its induction charging.
I highly recommend the Nyko Charge Base IC for a simple and easy to use charger for your Wii remotes that is convenient and inexpensive.
