Dr. Rosemarie Ingleton, a visiting dermatologist to the show, discussed how Eucerin Calming Body Wash contained oils that help relieve the dry itchy skin that can be left behind by harsh soaps and gels. This product sounded like the answer to my winter skin blues. I decided to try the Eucerin Calming Body Wash and share my opinions on its effectiveness to help my own dry skin. I found that I did like many aspects about this Eucerin body wash, but one I found a bit unpleasant.
What did I like about Eucerin Calming Body Wash?
The Eucerin Calming Body Wash is actually more like a shower oil. Once applied and rubbed on the skin, it makes a wonderful light lather. This body wash rinses away very well and states on the bottle that it is dermatologist recommended. Because of the Omega Oils that are added, my skin felt soft and smooth after I showered.

I noticed a big decrease in the itchy dry feeling that I was experiencing when I was using my old soap brand. The product is rich with oils such as Glycine Soja and Castor seed oil that helped add to the baby soft feel that it left my skin.
What did I dislike about the Eucerin Calming Body Wash?
On the Eucerin Calming Body Wash bottle, it proudly boasts that it is fragrance free. I made the assumption that this would mean it was odorless or lacking scent. I was very surprised the first time I used this Eucerin product because it does have a very definite odor or smell. It is not a perfume or pleasant scent, but one of a pungent medicinal origin. However, after bathing this does seem to fade and is not noticeable.
I found the Eucerin Calming Body Wash to be a good product to help with my dry itchy skin. It proves to be a gentle cleanser, and for the price it was a reasonable purchase.
Overall, I would recommend Eucerin Calming Body Wash and was impressed that it is dermatologist recommended.
