In 1961, Coffee-mate made the first non-dairy creamer in the United States. Its first liquid non-dairy creamer was introduced in 1989. My favorite Coffee-mate flavor is Cinnamon Vanilla Creme liquid coffee creamer. You can find this particular flavor in the grocery coolers near the dairy products. You can get it in 16 or 32 oz fluid containers.

The containers are red bottles with an uplift lid, making it easier to pour the creamer when you are getting that first cup of coffee. If you are anything like I am in the morning, the brain is not quite in gear and it is easy to spill liquid all over yourself. So the bottle lids are quite helpful. On the front of the bottle is a picture of a coffee cup with coffee and a heart with Coffee-mate in the middle of it. A vanilla flower is on the left side at the bottom of the cup. If you have problems reading the nutrition table on the back of the bottle, Coffee-mate has a phone number and web-site URL on the back. The web-site shows the different products that the company sells as well as any information you want to know about the products.

For those of you who have dairy and gluten allergies, you will be relieved that this product does not contain any gluten or lactose. And, for those of you who want to live very healthy lives, this product does not contain trans fat. When I first was diagnosed with kidney problems, my nutritionist told me that I had to limit my dairy intake; however, she recommended a non-dairy creamer for my coffee.

I have tried other flavors made by Coffee-mate, but this flavor, cinnamon vanilla creme, is my favorite. I go back to it every time. It adds a vanilla creamy taste with a hint of cinnamon to the coffee. And only one tablespoon adds thirty-five calories to your coffee. The creamer does not leave an aftertaste and is worth the price.

Because I drink the recommended two cups of coffee a day, I go through at least one 32 oz. bottle a week. Okay, I admit that I drink much more coffee than I should, but it tastes really really good with this creamer. It keeps me awake during the afternoon blues, and after a cup of coffee with my creamer I am much nicer person to be around.

So go ahead have that cup. It is good for you.
